For Schools

We’re keen to talk about the science we do in schools, so please get in touch if children from your school might want to hear about language and the brain!

Some of our previous activities:

Interactive neuroimaging/MRI simulations

Aimed at 9-15 year olds, this activity helps children learn more about the scientific research that can be done using MRI technology. Children can take part in a range of psychology tasks (including reading, speaking and visual search tasks) and see in real-time which areas of the brain are active during different activities, and how brain areas interact with one another.  Look out for our model MRI scanner!

Brain hats

Aimed at primary-school aged children, this activity is intended as an introduction to brain science. Children assemble their own wearable brain hats, whilst learning about the different parts of the brain and what they do.
